Event Recaps

As did many of our other annual events, this year’s All Sports Reunion looked very different. The traditional in-person all-inclusive tailgate and sport-specific events throughout a home football weekend were replaced with a two-week All Sports Recognition social media campaign. Our student-athlete alumni were able to engage on the VAF’s social media channels, hear messages from head coaches and reflect on great sports moments in UVA’s past. In addition, current student-athletes reflected on what it means to receive a scholarship and compete with Virginia Athletics. Lastly, a report on giving and scholarship funding so far this year was shared for each sport. Twenty-four sports programs saw an increase in their funding during the two-week campaign.
